SURVEY (5 minute commitment)
Manistee County-Wide Park & Recreation Plan
Manistee County and all of the jurisdictions therein are updating their 5-year parks and recreation plan and we want to hear from you. This plan will help guide the community's parks and recreation projects and programming, but it will only be a success if we know what the residents and visitors want.
The Parks and Recreation Committee Seeking Proposals
On behalf of the Arcadia Township Board of Trustees, the Arcadia Township Parks & Recreation Committee is seeking bids for two projects to provide improved access to the beach at the end of Lake Street. The first is for a short-term project to excavate a sloping path leading from the parking area to the beach at the water level. This RFP document which was published on March 16th can be found here.
The second project has a longer-term goal. With this RFP, we are seeking proposals from engineering firms to present qualifications for their services to produce conceptual drawings and construction cost estimates. This project would include ADA compliant permanent access for the Arcadia Beach Natural Area and the Sunset Station at the west end of Lake Street in Arcadia Township. This RFP published on March 19th can be found here.
